Gabor Maté is a world-renowned physician, author and speaker on the subjects of ADHD and addiction. He suggests in this book that there is not really a genetic component to ADHD but it is instead a response to stress and trauma in the person’s environment and in their growing up. Many argue that it is a mixture of both. Either way, Maté’s many years working with ADHD and addiction gives alot of insight.
